TWO Members of Parliament brought up some interesting points in the Budget debate.
Mr Ong Kian Min sent an important reminder that current returns on investment of the CPF Ordinary and Special accounts are below the conservative 8 to 10 per cent return private bankers expect to earn for their high- net-worth clients.
If our money with the CPF has been used to generate returns in excess of 4 per cent, wouldn't it be better to share some surplus with all CPF members in the form of higher variable interest at the end of each year?
I hope the Government will respond to what Mr Ong has brought up.
